Every time I use the System Restore function approximately
2.2 Gb's are added to the used space on the hard drive, or
(C:). It is now up to 49 Gb's and the free space is going
down. What is causing this as the Hard Drive should only
be about 10 Gb's or less with the programs that are
installed. Is there a setting to get rid of the extra Gb's
system restore is adding to the used space without losing
information.

Thanks in advance for your time!!

I do not know why you are losing so much space on a cumulative basis but to
retrieve some of it go to system tools and run disk cleanup having ticked
the boxes for temporary files and temporary internet files. It will also be
worth selecting more options and under system restore select "delete all but
the latest restore point".
In system restore settings you could also reduce the space available for
system restore points.

What is of some interest is why you find it necessary to run so many system
restore operations. Perhaps it is an indication of some other system problem
or you may be more adventurous in system changes than I am :-)
