system restore problem- need help

I was restoring my system to a previous date. At the end of the restore it
restarted my computer, half way through it restarted it again and again etc.
Now when I turn my computer on it does the same thing over and over.

What is my next step????
 
I followed the directions with no luck. I tried turning off the auyomatic
re-boot and got a message saying: command failed because winsrv application.
Re-install application.

Will this be on my XP disc, and do you think it will fix the issue??
 
Boot your computer off of your Windows XP cd. Go into the repair option. When
you get to the command prompt type C:\chkdsk /r This will run the Checkdisk
Repair Utility. Finish it out then reboot. If that doesn't work you can try
this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885523 .
