system restore points in windows 2000

Does windows 2000 professional have any system restore
pointrs like windows xp has? and where can I find them.

And/or how can I stop windows installer to start every
time I want to open a microsoft office program?

No Windows 2000 does not have a system restore point. It has the Ntbackup
utility that can back up the entire installation or the System State, but the user
must initiate the backup. Don't know about your other issue - you might try a MS
Office newsgroup. --- Steve
