System Restore Points Disappearing

I have a problem with the system restore. I've noted that when I have an update added to my system, the entire month disappears. I can't roll back if I wanted to.
For the last week, I've added a restore point daily.....and checked daily to be sure that the point was still there. I added 1 update today,KB922626-x86, the system had to reboot, and now all points are gone again.

I have set the Recycle Bin to automatically dump. Seems that when I had it set to dump manually, I would also lose the restore points.

I am running XP Media center 2002, SP2
Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security
For maintenance,
I use Window Washer, Ad-awareSE, Spyware Blaster, Spybot S&D, No Adware, Registry Mechanic, and Registry Healer. At one time I used Ccleaner, but stopped using it as it seemed that were perhaps the culprit.....but since I stopped using it, the restore points are still disappearing, so it wasn't what I thought.
I've run each program thru its paces, checked the system restore after each one, and can't find a deletion.
I run virus scans daily, the firewall and virus DAT's are up to date.

At this point, I've run out of ideas as to what to do, and would appreciate any input you may have concerning this problem.

Thank you so much for your quick response.
I went to your link, and followed all the instructions. I had done most of what was suggested there , other than the Real Player update . That item hadn't crossed my mind. I've updated it, and have rebooted......so far, so good.....the one restore point microsoft put on my restore calender, after my one and only patch update is still there.

I will visit http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=54 if the restore points disappear again. I had thought I figured it out, actually holding onto 5 of them last week.but then lost them all again today, and am back to one .:((

What is so strange is that in following all of your directions in the link, and checking my settings, everything was correct. I reset them anyway, on the outside chance my operating system was 'stuck' and needed to be reminded about what it is supposed to be doing. I remember my old Millennieum getting stuck in a thought and needing to be reset back to what it said it was doing anyway just to get going again. :))
I sure hope this problem will resolve itself before I really do need system restore. Its been maddening this month trying to ferrett out what was causing the problem and not really finding out what was wrong.
Thank you again for your help
