System Restore - only for System drive?

Am I right that you only need to enable System Restore on the system
partition please? In my case, that's C:, with most of my data in the
larger partition D:.

Is there *any* merit in enabling it on non-system partitions?

System Restore only restores Windows system files not data or application
files.

Thanks, that was my understanding. So is that a Yes? <g> IOW, I do not
need to enable SR on my system partition?
