system restore missing

my computer has a worm in C:\system volume
information\_restore...
I have been advised to switch off system restore in system
properties and then run the antivirus. However, system
properties on my windows XP Pro has only six tabs and no
system restore tab so I cannot switch off system restore
from here. Any ideas anyone?

Try running this command from a command prompt;

c:\windows\system32\Restore\rstrui.exe

Of course, you will need to change the drive and Windows folder name
depending on how your system is configured.
