System Restore is taking too long

After installing Mcaffe into my sister's computer, the computer started to
run slow and it froze, including when I tried to uninstall the Norton trial
she had installed. So I ran a system restore. Now the system restore is
taking a little more than an hour.
Is that normal? Have the computer gone into a completely crash?

Both McAfee and Norton are well known to be "performance killers" and
having both present at the same would really drag down the machine.

If you are using the System Restore function in Windows XP then taking
an hour to do a restore is quite excessive. See MVP Bert Kinney's
System Restore pages: http://bertk.mvps.org/index.html

Good luck
