System Restore goes blank

I have XP Professional, SP2, I downloaded latest McAfee anti virus and
privacy gaurd, upon installation and reboot everything has gone crazy. It
would not finish loading McAfee on start, it will not finish connecting to
the internet using IE. I used the task manager and ended McAfee and the
browser, tried system restore to go back to where I was and I get a blank
page.
Can anyone help?

To resolve blank System Restore UI, see if these commands help. From
Start/Run:

regsvr32 jscript
regsvr32 vbscript
regsvr32 /i mshtml
