System restore forced by hand

My system restore dont work. Is it possible to delete and copy files like you
can do iby Windows XP like delete sam, system security default en software
and copy backupfiles from System Volume Information folder? Is someone who
have experiance that?

Hi Ben,

In Vista, as in XP, the backup registry files are in
C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack, not in the system restore volume. The
process is essentially the same to recover them.

Thanks for your reply. I wil try your suggestion, but i just didn't make
recovery cd's of my notebook.
I have tried what Rick said, but i have just 1 serie of files from long ago,
while system restore show me a lot of system restore points

Hi Rick,

In the regBack are just two set of files today and yesterday. In system
restore there are more then 10 restore points. Do you know how ik can reach
that points? I sow the same on the laptop of my daughter.
