I tried to create a restore point, but the screen says "restore point
created", but doesn't list anything, and doesn't do anything. In fact, there
hasn't been a checkpoint in months. Last one in April. I have settings to
max. So I deleted all previous restores. Still won't restore. Any help?

SR may be corrupt. Try this; turn off SR, re-boot. Turn SR back on and
re-boot once more. That should create a new restore point. See if this
works, if not, post back to this thread and let us know.

Many thanks, JAX. I tried what you said, but after turning off, on the
reboot, I kept getting a dialogue box saying restore was turned off and did
I want to turn it on. I said yes, and nothing would happen. Rebooted and
same thing. Next time on reboot, I disabled Norton AntiVirus, Internet
Security, Stopzilla, and Spybot. Then I got restore dialogue box, and this
time when I said yes, the restore screen came right on, I enabled restore,
rebooted, and sure enough it had created a system checkpoint. Again as I've
said for some years now: newsgroups are great, and you all are really a
fantastic community. Thanks again. Al.

Spybot would not cause the problem, I don't know about the others though. At
any rate, I'm glad you got it sorted.

LOL, JAX
