After installing a program I wanted to use system restore to step back to
yesterday. After I selecting the restore point and click next it shows a
screen titled "Confirm Restore Point Selection". When I click next to this
nothing happens.
Looking thru the Knowledge base, I verified the needed services are running.
I even ran the srdiag.exe but it produced no .CAB file with information. I
have over 35GB of free drive space. I tried it in safe mode. I've had odd
hang ups with system restore on other computers so, just to get it running, I
turned off system restore to clear the files. Then I turned it back on,
created another restore point and tried it again. The same thing still
happens... it does nothing.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on? Should I try to repair Win XP?
