system restore does not open

Just today I realized that my system restore will not
open. I am not able to do a system resotre cause of that.
Not sure what happened and when. The only thing that pops
up when I click on the system restore app. is a blank
white window. Is there anyway I can get that back to
normal, so that I can perform a "System restore" back to
one of my points. Frustrated home user...
 
Am also having a problem. Am using XP Pro. Cannot get
system restore to restore to a previous point - even
several days ago.
Any ideas?
