System resources

My HP computer is getting sluggish. I suspect the system
resources are running low. I have instructions for fixing
it in Win ME, but I upgraded to XP and am at a loss as how
to increase my system resources. Can anyone help??

The data structure that was referred to as 'Resources' in ME just does
not exist in XP and that is not where your problem lies. Look in Task
Manager (find in in a r-click on the Task bar) and its Processes page
for a process that is using a lot of CPU (other than System Idle, which
runs when the re is nothing else whatever to do)
