My PC hangs at the point right after detecting the drives during bootup.
Is it having trouble on locating the MBR?
It just have a CHKDSK recovery performed by WinXP and it works fine.
How to solve this problem?
I dont have a WinXP CDROM with me.
I left it at home.
Thanx a lot

If your computer is hanging during the POST and before the operating
system is loaded, you have hardware problems. Are the drives seen in
the BIOS? Things to try:

1. Swap out cables.
2. Check jumpering.
3. Try drives in a different machine. If they are seen in a different
machine, then you know your original motherboard is bad.

Etc. As with any troubleshooting, make one change at a time (keeping
notes) and test after each change.
