System Recovery file access.

Sally

I screwed my computer up earlier, and ended up performing
system recovery to get it to work again. The pictures I
had stored in the "my pictures" folder and everything in
the "My music" folder are still there and accessable. I
had my own personal file named "Sally's Stuff", and it
contained thousands of files... everything I wanted...
the folder is still there, but when you look at
properties it says it has 0 space, and mousing over it it
says it's empty. When I try to open it I
get... "C:\Documents and Settings\owner\my
documents\sally's stuff is not accesable. Acces is
denied" So if I try to delete the folder, it says I can
not do it because another program may be using it...
check for write protection etc.

Does anyone have a rememdy for this problem? I need to
recover all my files from this private folder!

Hi Sally

See if the following helps:

"How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308421&Product=winxp

You need to take ownership of the files. Look up "take ownership" in
XP's Help & Support.
