Every time I turn on my computer for the day within 5 minutes it shuts down
and reboots and comes up normally. Then displays the Severe Error Message
(Asks if I would like to send a report to Microsoft). The message displays
this:
Error Signature:
BCCode: 100000d1 BCP1:00000001 BCP2: 00000002 BCP3: 00000001
BCP4: F83BA600 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 2_0 Product 768_1
And gives me option to view the log file which points to these folders:
C:\Documents and Setting\Local Setting\Temp\WER4594.dir00\Mini011005-01.dmp
C:\Documents and Setting\Local Setting\Temp\WER4594.dir00\sysdata.xml
In the path of the Temp folder above, the WER4594.dir00 does not exist.
I do find the file Mini011005-01.dmp in the C:\WINDOWS\
Minidump\Mini011005-01.dmp, but cannot find the sysdata.xml file anywhere on
my computer.
The Mini011005-01.dmp file I believe is a machine code memory dump, not
human readable.
My computer is Windows XP with SP2 and is fully up to date with all
Microsoft updates. My McAfee AV does not find any viruses (I am also going to
run the on-line scanner from Trend-Micro) but I don't believe a virus is the
culprit. Up to date AD-AWARESE and Spy Sweeper find nothing either.
After the Machine boots up it is very stable for the rest of the day !
I have tried the correction for a corrupted System Restore and page file
settngs but this has not helped.
How can I find what is causing the problem ?
