System reboots by itself

I just upgraded to xp home and when I am trying to logon
on to MSN explorer I get the message. "The sytem is
shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log
off. Any unsaved data will be lost. The shut down was
Initiated by NT Authority \System." Please reply with
any and all ideas.

I think your computer might be infected by the blaster
warm. If it is not the case, try and upgrade the BIOS of
your motherboard.

You need the patch described here to protect against it:

Problem is, you needed to install the patch BEFORE you got infected to avoid
it.
