My system was hijacked by abou:blank several weeks ago. I
finally got rid of the hijacker but deleted some
operating files in winsystem32 by mistake. How can Iget
the files back without reloading my operating syste? I am
running windows XP

Run the system file checker. Go to Start | Run | Type in sfc /scannow.
Prior to pressing enter put the windows installation CD in the CD
drive. Not that you will have to scan at windows update to see if you
need to reapply any of the patches.
