System not fully installed?

I ran my hp pc system recovery (Windows XP home). Froze
up at the end, turned it off and when I tried to reboot, a
message comes up: The system is not fully installed.
Please run setup again". I did not get a CD with the
computer, so how can I install anything if I can't get
passed this? Any help would be appreciated.

Get with HP support and have them send Recovery CDs for your system.
There's probably a charge for shipping. A lesson learned: NEVER PURCHASE A
PC THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE CDs, PREFERABLY AN OEM WINDOWS XP CD and CDs for the
drivers/utilities and bundled software, NOT RECOVERY CDs. HP's hidden
partition with the install files is one of the worst ideas ever. If
something goes wrong and you can't access those install files, a quick
recovery isn't possible. I stopped recommending HP systems prior to the
Compaq merger, which has really made a mess of support, and prior to the NO
CDs included policy. Oddly, HP systems are not less expensive than other
brand names, which do offer OEM Windows XP CDs, bundled software CDs, and
some better non-proprietary hardware.
