system lockup

I have been gettin a LOT of lock ups lately. Have windows
xp pro. any ideas?
 
I don't know enough about your occation, but if you haven't run "Disk Defragmenter" for while, this might be worth trying..

You can open "Disk Defragmenter" from going

start -> All programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Defragmenter
