system information

i reformatted WindXP SP2.. a few weeks ago..... since that time i cannot look
up my system info in system tools/accessories..does anyone know why,,, it
just says cannot collect that information........................i was told
by 1 guy to go to run..and type in msinfo32 /pch which i did... but it
comes sayying collecting system info but doesnt go anyfurther than
that...any ideas? anyone

If that does not help, try these commands from Start/Run:

regsvr32 %Windir%\system32\wbem\wbemprox.dll
regsvr32 %Windir%\system32\wbem\wbemcore.dll
regsvr32 %Windir%\system32\wbem\wbemsvc.dll
regsvr32 %Windir%\system32\wbem\fastprox.dll
