I have seen before on the XP Background (no matter what background picked)
the system information (Computer Name, RAM, ect..) will be posted on the
upper right corner of the screen and I was wanting do this on all my pc's.

I been told that this is a Reg. Setting but I can not find it. Please can
someone point me in the right place.

Also is able to be done of 2000 pro and NT 4 sp6

Is there a way to do this without installing any software on the system.
Maybe a script or registry edit?

Might be possible using a VBScript to gather the required data, and then
output to a HTM file (which can then be set for background). Better check in
the scripting groups for more help on this matter. Microsoft Public
Newsgroups listing is available in the following site:

Cliff,

Yes, it does create a new bitmap and sets itself as the default wallpaper.
Overwriting the existing wallpaper may not be possible using scripting, and
may require a program to do the job (Example: watermarking the image)

Use the command-line parameters. Create a .BGI configuration file, and use
the timer.

bginfo c:\config.bgi /timer:0

You can perhaps schedule it if you want.

Thanks for your help but I really don't see how this program will update
the drive space every time a file is deleted, added or moved from drive to
drive, unless a recurring Windows task is setup. There must be a similar
program that appears on the desktop that does the same thing.

The fellow who developed Hijackthis created a program called Uptimer which
is very useful, but has a tendency to crash. It automatically updates all
drives to reflect free drive space and does alot of other cool things.

If you have any ideas, please respond.
