System Hibernation

I recently re-formatted my computer and now i can't select hibernate in the
power management options. What can I do to get it back?

First install all drivers for your system. Neither hibernate nor standby
will work when there are any "?" in the device manager.
 
Generally, the biggest problem with "no hibernation" is bad/outdated/corrupt
video drivers. Get the latest WHQL certified drivers from the manufacturer
of your video card - if you can't find it there, then go to the site of the
chip manufacturer (usually nVidia or ATI).
