My system is rebooting at rather frequent intervals -- it
usually doesn't if I'm here at the keyboard working on
something, but I'll find if I've left (even if something
is still running (like a virus scan) when I return I'll
find that it's rebooted.

The second BCCode message is what I usually find, however,
the last time it went down while I was working and I
discoverd the first message I've copied above is the first
one received. After exiting that I get a couple
more "System has recovered from a serious error" messages,
with that second BCCode.

Can someone advise me what "serious error" actually is
occurring and how I might be able to correct the
situation? Note the "dot" in my email address should be
replaced with a real one.

Thanks, CKBrown

See this link for info on both error codes:

0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
0x0000008E: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Do a windows update and download the update for windows xp error reporting.
When you send an error report to microsoft, the updated windows xp error
reporting software returns solution to the problem or cause of the problem
using Online Crash Analysis (OCA). You will be able to figure what is
causing this problem.
