system freezes up using gforce 3

I have recently updated the drivers in my system the
latest nvidia and direct x drivers, Now everytime I try
to run any games the game freezes up.I have tried to run
the dxdiag program and test the video and that also is
freezing up.I have tryed to format and reinstall the
windows xp then the newest drivers but the problem is
still there.If there is anyone that has had the same
problem and solved it or know what the problem might be I

Please state EXACTLY what SPECIFIC problem you tried to fix by updating
your video drivers?

Revert to your earlier video drivers. For most people, a video driver update will produce no noticable benefits, and sometimes results in problems such as you encountered.
If they ain't broke, don't fix them
