Hi
I have XP Professional at home. I ran the Network Wizard
to attempt to repair my home network. It appeared to be
OK on the XP site. I formatted a floppy for the Network
Config software for the other system. When I rebooted the
system font changed to something that is largely symbols.
What can I do to correct this? Could I have prevented it?
Thanks

Since you don't tell us what was wrong with the network to begin with,
it will be hard to give you a specific answer. It sounds like your
operating system is corrupted and/or damaged. You could try a Repair
Install, but this is all just guessing since you didn't provide
adequate information. Either post back with details or call a good
local computer repair person to come in and fix your network machines.

There wasn't anything wrong with the network when I
installed XP. Last night it didn't work. My big problem
is the font used throughout. I can't read it since its
all symbols. I may be able to resolve the network but not
if I can't read what's on the screen.

I'll certainly try to reinstall to repair.
Thanks
