Hi,

I have damaged system files - how do i repair them??

Go to Start > Run > cmd
then type in the command prompt window
sfc /scannow

You will need the XP CD and the location of the folders
Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 and Windows\System32\dllcache.
This will replace the damaged files.

Good luck

moldy1 here,
I have the same problem, but all I have is the OEM restore disk. What procedure do I use?
