System files repair w2k

I have a few corrupt system files and would like to
restore them from original disk (w2kPro), is there a
process?? without doing a clean install

sfc /scannow

I'd like to do this sfc /scannow operation, but do not have enough know how to do it without
some sort of documentation. Do you know a website that I could look at and follow its procedures?
