SYSTEM file corruption

DM

Upon a reboot, the message that the c:\windows\system32
\config\system file is missing or corrupt and to use the
Repair Console to fix it. Can someone direct me to the
correct sequence of commands in the Repair Console itself
to fix/replace this file so the system can boot. None
them seemed obvious to do that. Thanks.

Start/Run/type sfc /scannow
Have your reinstallation disk ready to insert. There is a space between to "c" and "/"
XP will search for corrupt or missing files and replaced them for you.
