System Explorer Menu not populating

When I click 'advanced tools' and 'system explorers' I
get a blank left column menu. On my old computer, this
works fine and I find the tools convenient.

Any ideas? I unistalled and reinstalled and still no
improvement.

see whether there's any reference to a problem registering a particular
file.

I'm afraid that one doesn't give me anything specific to go on. You are
logged in as an administrator on the local machine, correct?

I have no idea what any of this info means. It appears
this may be a bug in the software because?

Thanks for the suggeston Mark, but still no fix for this
problem. I also notice no MSAS icon appears in the system
tray after a system reboot. It will only appear after I
run a scan.
