System Error

Received the following error several times. Microsoft web
support is down. Online help has no information available.
Does anyone have an idea what theis means? My computer has
gone goofy and is quite unstable.

The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during
its internal processing. HRESULT was 800706BA from line
44 of d:\nt_qxp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1
\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product
Support Services to report this error.

Hey Bill,

I was running into the same error that you described, and I was able to fix it.
I went into my services in Computer Management, and noticed that the Com services were stopped as well as the VSS services. I restarted them both and no more errors!

Just thought you’d like to know.
