system error - divide by zero or overflow error

After installing commsoft's Roots V Genealogy software, I get a system error - divide by zero or overflow error. The program will not start. What do I need to do, to correct this so that the program will start in XP?

You can try 'compatibility' mode...

Right-click|PROPERTIES|COMPATIBILITY tab (if available)

Or get in touch with the software maker.

After some serious digging, I located the fix and instructions on a discussion board.

PATCH: Patch_26.exe Fixes Divide by Zero Error on Fast Computers
