I need to control my disk space, does anyone know of a program that I can use
that will put and keep my free disk space at a certian number, example: 28.1
GB?

1. Open XP's "Help and Support Center".
2. In the Search box type: Quota Management , and hit enter.
3. Click on "Enable disk quotas".

I'm not sure what you are asking for. Are you looking for
a monitor program that will tell you when free space
drops below a certain figure, or one that will not let
any more writes occur when the free space drops to that
level (as though the disk is full)?

If you just need to reserve a certain space, you can
expand the paging file by the amount you want to set
aside, and then shrink the maximum size when you want to
recover it. But that seems like a lot of effort and
exposure to possible side effects for the amount you
gain. Similarly, you could use WinZip or equivalent to
create a file of stuff that size, then delete it and
empty the recycle bin when you need the space.

Or you can get a larger hard drive.
