System Config Utility

Hi. Whenever I start XP Home on my laptop I get a dialog box comming up that
is Systom Config Utility. I can just cancel and carry on, but can anyone
tell me why this keeps coming up, and how I can stop it?

Hi DG,

Login as Administrator (or equivalent) and try this:

1. Click Start, Run and type "msconfig /auto". Check the option "Don't show......." and press OK.

You have something disable in msconfig. To see what is disable go Start>run
and type

msconfig

Look at all tabs (eg. Startup) and see if anything is unchecked. If there is
you may or may not want to re-enable it. You should post back your results
if you want the disabled item removed.

check the 'do not show again' box, and Exit, which removes that entry.

At some time you have used MSConfig to change something (probably to
disable a line on its Startup page). Once you do that and close it - or
even close after just taking a look - you will get this message. Check
'Do not tell me again' and click Exit
