System Backup on DVD

Hi all,
anyone ever did a systembackup of Vista Ultimate on a set of DVD ?
I tried DVD- and DVD+ but none works
Backup on external disk works fine.
I have Laptop Asus G2P

Some have done so without issue. My advice, because so many things can
interfere with the burning process, such as anything else running on the
system, a backup for example, is to backup to a temp folder on the hard
drive, then copy the file to DVD.

If this is important business info it might be wise to actually try a
real restore too, nothing worse than thinking you have a backup and
finding that it recorded and verified okay but doesn't actually work :)

I use removable drives so it's easy for me to say that but someone
recently had problems with Acronis along these lines and being able to
remove your OS so it's not in any danger at all is real useful. Sata
slide mounts are cheap and easy (Usually) :)
