System 32 Sound.drv

I was attempting to install an Avery software download
and got the error message. Reinstall sound.drv in System
32 directory.

sound.drv was indeed missing from the system32 file
folder. I got a copy from a clone system purchased at the
same time and copied to the windows/system32 folder.

Somehow I know need to reconfigure the system32 directory
but have no clue how to do that. Operating in Windows XP.

Can anyone help ?????
