Dear Microsoft or anybody out there,
I have recently reformat and reinstall the OS of my HP-Compaq Presario 2500
laptop (Windows XP Home Edition). Then, I updated the Windows with Service
Pack 2. Finally, as anyone would expect; the laptop is now operating much
faster and efficient. The only problem that I have encountered is; everytime
I switch on my laptop a "System 32" folder will appear in my Window's
environment (I believe it must be initiated by an unknown "startup" command).
Althought the folder is not causing any problem to the laptop or the OS, but
it's really bugging me to see this "System 32" folder to reappear everytime I
log on to my laptop. I'm not a perfectionist, but I might consider to
reinstall/reformatting the Windows again to solve the problem (which is a lot
of hassle) or unless the experts couldn't help me on this matter;
reinstallation is invitable. I have tried to locate the startup command that
trigger the "System 32" folder to appear by using the command "MSCONFIG.exe"
and a Registry Cleaner Software but the problem still persists. Could you
please help this poor guy to get his 'brand-new-like' laptop back? That
"System 32 Folder" is really bugging me
PS: I have encountered this similar problem with my friend's computer months
ago. Could this be another Window's bug which is yet to be fixed? Thank you
for your time and consideration.
Yours Truly,
Mr. Syah
