sysprep

I have used sysprep very successfully to move images from
an IBM G-40 laptop to other laptops, Ibm A-21's and even
a Dell. It worked great. I then tried to move an image
from an IBM A-21 to the IBM G-40 and it does not work.
The image is intact as I can move it from an A-21 to
another A-21 and it works as intended but when I try to
move it to a different style of laptop it fails on boot.

Does anyone have any ideas why and if I can fix this?

It looks like the IMB G-40 have Hyper-Threading Technology on its intel
chip. That means its a diffrent HAL type and you cannnot mix hal types
check out Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 309283 to find out about the
hal type your image supports
