SysPrep: New Hardware found after reboot, No AutoLogon, unwanted i

I installed a WinXP Prof. MUI. After I've done my settings I run SYSPREP with
mini-Setup (the only reason for that is the product identifiacation via
ProductID). I expected to get the same system as the one before I started
SYSPREP. However, after Sysprep has done it's job following has changed (both
SP1 and SP2).

* Autologon: For usual a user "Customer" (w/o passowrd) was logged on
automatically. After SYSPREP the "Logon dialog" appeared again. When setting
the AutoLogon in SYSPREP, Administrator is logged on automatically (but only
if a password was set). On the one hand Microsoft recommends to not set a
password if delievered to customers, on the other hand this cause problems
with sysprep. Is there a work-around to fulfill my requirements?

* Desktop icons: Two icons appeared on the desktop: "MSN Explorer" and
"Windows Media Player" (in both profiles "administrator" and "customer"). Are
there more such things??? How can I prevent of that?

* All the target systems have a Intel 82551ER ECO and they worked fine after
feeding them some Intel drivers that can be downloadad from their website
(note: they only had drivers for XPe, but I think that should not make much
difference, excepting that it has no WHQL-certificate). However, after the
reboot (that occours after SYSPREP) Windows detected the 82551ER again and
the user must specify the driver's location again - even though on the same
system that I used to prepare for cloning (using SYSPREP). I don't understand
that - all the drivers where still installed.

Regarding Problem 1 & 2: The only method I see is to allow a
"Administrator-Logon" and run a batch-file which "fix" the "mistakes" in the
registry and the "Documents and settings"-folder. Is there anyone who has a
better idea??

Regarding problem 3: I'll be glad about any to tip about how to make reseal
the system without be promted for any drivers after the reboot.

Much thanks in before,

I realize this is a bit dated, but I'm replying to see if you were ever able
to over come these issues. I've noticed the same problem with the 82551ER
and Windows XP SP1/SP2. I've played with changing the INF, and various
windows settings. However, nothing has had any impact. Please let me know
if you were able to make any progress on this.
