sysprep + local Administrator account

I have had sysprep fail on two different types of computers and the only link I can see is that there appears to be something wrong with the original local Administrator account. (I have been logon as another local administrator using a different username.)

Is the original local Administrator's account critical to sysprep operation?

Is there away to recreate the local Administrator's account?

Once sysprep fails does one have to reinstall Windows etc?

sysprep is generally only used to build and create a new system, how exactly
are you trying to use this? how is it failing? error messages? something
just not working? from your description, it sounds like youre trying to use
it on a system that has already been set up and running for a while.

Hi Rob,

I have given this some thought and I think it would be better if I trashed these images and started again rather then try and recover from what could end up being problematic images.

Thanks for your help
