Sysprep image hangs on mup.sys

why is this haging with a sysprep sp2 image? I have a image that when used
with other systems hang on boot way before the sysprep mini setup starts.

What do you have to do to make sure this does not hang a system?

Usually that is due to an incompatible HAL. Trying forcing an ACPI HAL
in your sysprep.inf file like so:

UpdateUPHAL=ACPIPIC_UP,C:\Windows\Inf\Hal.inf
