Hello all

I need some advice on using OEM Driver with SysPrep.

I am trying to create an Image of a Toshiba Laptop (A10) that I can
distribute to other Toshiba models of Laptop, i.e. 1130-Z25, A40 etc.

I am currently in the process of collecting all the relevant drivers for
each platform from the Toshiba website.

When I extract the drivers, which files do I need and what happens if the
drivers are in subfolders?

Thanks in advance

Hello Carey

Thanks for the information.

Ever been in a situation where the more you read the more confused you get?

I am having great difficulty in getting OEM Drivers to install during Mini
Setup even though the driver files are present in the directories specified
in the OEMDriversPath variable.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Kevin

Yeah, it seems like the MVP and MS people think they're good because they
can take you to real articles with DROWNING info when all you need is
tidbits. All they do is give you ridiculuous KB Articles - yes the answer
is there - 2000 pags later.

Answer - INF, SYS, CAT, and possible DLL fles! (usually the first three if
2000/XP signed)

Hello Zane

Thanks for the info, this will get me started in the right direction.

The thing that has got me stumped at the moment is an 'Unknown Device'
showing up in 'Other Devices' which I have no idea what the device should be
as it looks as if all the devices are installed and working.

Bye for now

Kevin
