Sysprep and Computer Name

Hi,

I am using Sysprep and Ghost imaging to clone 200 pc's with windows xp.

My problem is how to assign computer names to multiple computers thru
sysprep?

Is there a way I can use relate MAC address to Computer Name ?

Sysprep is good utility but Microsoft missed important feature to implement
in real situation.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

You've made a great point, this is not something that's easy to do without
building a custom solution. We ended up creating a SQL database that
correlates MAC to computer name, and we change the computer name during a
post-mini-setup reboot via a VBScript. It's not the most elegant, but it
works.

You wouldn't happen to have some instructions to
accomplish this would you? and or some sample files that I
could look at as to how you accomplished this task.
