hey,,,,at windows xp,,,,sys restore,,,,the sys restore
stores on disk a space or folder known as sys vol info
folder and where a directory known as restore directory
which contains the restore info or restore point,,,,is it
ok to delete that folder

Hi,

Why would you want to do that? They are there to help you recover the
system. Do not simply delete the old restore points that way. There are
three ways to easily remove restore points (you cannot do this selectively).

1) Start/run cleanmgr.exe (disk cleanup), there is a "clean up" button on
the "more options" tab to remove all but the newest restore point.

2) Control Panel/System/System Restore tab, go to settings and reduce the
amount of space allotted to System Restore. This will remove older restore
points, how many depends on how much space you require for a point, and how
much space you leave.

3) Control Panel/System/System Restore tab, click the "turn off system
restore on all drives" box. This will eliminate all restore points. Once
reenabled, the system will begin creating new ones. You should reboot
inbetween doing this.

I don't think so, but I am not sure. I wouldn't do anything until someone
out there tells you so. Good luck.

If space is of an essence to you, clear all but the last one:

Use the Disk Cleanup Advanced tab to delete all but the last restore point.

No. If you want to empty it out, first go to System - System restore,
disable Restore, and reboot. You can then delete any content left in
the folder, and start restore up again
