SyncToy fails to copy some .JPG and .PDF files

Every once in a while, while running SyncToy (or any tool used to copy
files) between two computers on my home network, some .JPG and .PDF files
are not copied. This is consistent and it's the same set of .JPG and .PDF
files every single time. If I copy these files to a CD or a Compact Flash,
then copy to the other computer, it works fine. Any ideas?
