Syncing with an External HDD

Hi:

I have an external USB Hard Drive and a Tablet PC. I was wondering if there is a way that I can sync the two together once the USB HDD connects to the Tablet? I'm hoping there is something a long the lines of MS ActiveSync with the Pocket PCs, but for Tablets/XP Computers.
 
Just want to add... It is actually a USB Drive Enclosure with a 160 GB HDD inside. It is not an external actual external Hard drive. And it didn't come with any sync software.
