Syncing documents in Vista, Is it possible? (2nd attempt)

I am using vista premium.

Is it possible to sync in progress documents with a copy on a flash drive.
Rather than continually copying the the updated document to the flash drive
is there a way that I can just click to update the copy on the flash drive?

Apparently sync centre only works with mobile devices.
