I currently have outlook on both my desktop and laptop machines.

Some days I am at my desk and others I am on the road. I don't have a fancy
server setup...just 2 little machines

How do I keep my outlook files sync'd?

XP Pro
MS Office 2003

Import.
(Hit F1 while in Outlook, search on "import".)

I think you will find that you cant synch PST files in the traditional way of
having one version on your laptop and one on a network share (although I
might be wrong). Importing the file is probably a better option.

- can you not just use your laptop on the network and have email in one
place ?

I can't just use one machine.

It kind of defeats the purpose of having the laptop for travel.

What I did so far was to clone one file to another. When I am at home, I
will use the PC...
Before I go on the road, I will clone the mail folders from one PC to
another.
Crude but effective.

I tried to use synchpst but it failed across the network.
