Synchronizie a Workbooks defined Names?

I put together a workbook from a couple of ones I had written over the years and now am having one
heck of a time ensuring that the defined Names are recognized on each sheet. It is now a new
creation and quite autonomous.

I am not so clear on whether each sheet maintains its own "listing" of defined names, but when I
open the Define Name dialog box on each sheet (or rather when each sheet is active) there are
different lists. This includes the drop down Name (or cell reference) box on the left of the
formula bar.

Names that are properly defined on one sheet might contain a reference like "=#REF!$D$4" on another,
if there is a reference at all.

Is there a way to synchronize all of a Workbooks defined Names?...or, is this a job for manual
re-entry,...or do I need to worry about this anyway?

Thanks for any help you can give me,

Rick B

Try Jan Karel Pieterse's (with Charles Williams and Matthew Henson) Name
Manager.
http://www.jkp-ads.com/Download.htm

It'll make the review easier and maybe any cleanup.

It has buttons to toggle names between local and global.

This is an addin you'll love after just seconds of using it!

and get this one, too. It'll come in real handy for broken links (in names and
not in names):

Bill Manville's FindLink program:
