Synchronization

PDC and One DC are running windows 2000. Nine nt4 BDC.
Client machines mostly running windows 95, some windows
2000 Pro. Exchange server is 5.5 on an nt4 BDC
We are having a problem with the sam database syncing with
the nt4 bdc.
Two months ago we changed our nt4 pdc over to 2000. A few
days later we brought a 2000 dc online. We still have 9
nt4 bdc. All was well for a month after the switch, we
have been running in mixed mode and the sams database was
being synced with all of the nt4 machines.
We noticed the problem a few weeks ago, when we created a
new user and exchange mailbox. We could map the user to
the mailbox within exchange server but on the client
machine exchange server did not reconized the user. The
other problem we noticed at that time if the client
machine was 95 the user name was unknown. This is when we
relized that the pdc was not syncing with the nt4 bdc
because if we logged onto a 2000 machine with the new
username we authenicated fine but exchange client still
did not work. The odd thing to our situation is that when
people change there passwords they don't seem to have a
problem and most people are running 95 so they should be
authenicating with nt4 bdc as well as the 2000 dcs.
As of right now we force an entire domain sycn through a
third party utility called hyena.
Please help, I'm at a loss.
Thank you in Advance

Just me again, I forgot to mention that we are not getting
any error messages either on the pdc or the bdc. It's
like the pdc doesn't even know they are there.

This may be an issue where you are currently in 2 seperate domains. You may
need to contact support for a closer look. How did you upgrade your PDC to
2000?

We are only running one domain. Our servers are really
old so we bought a new ibm server and loaded it as an nt4
bdc. We fully synced the sam's database and then we
demoted the old pdc and shut it off and then we promoted
the new bdc to pdc and then we loaded 2000 as an upgrade.
